Paper Heritage - Railways : Isle of Man Definitives : Imprint Dates

A summary here of the different Imprint Dates which exist on the 1988-92 definitives. Many of these stamps may be found se-tenant in various combinations from sheets of 50 mixed values, specially printed for the production of booklets. First, a table of the imprint dates which exist (the colours in the table have no significance). A ' * ' after the word 'yes', (yes*), indicates the stamp was only issued in booklets:

The sheet format for the two booklet panes above is five vertical strips of :
17p + 4p + 21p + 4p + 4p + 17p + 17p +17p + 4p + 21p.
I imagine, as the 4p and 21p were entirely new vales, that the two stamps at the bottom of the strip were retained and sent out as new issues in the guise of normal stamps. I have no record of these two stamps being issued in normal sheets but they may possibly have been. Under the circumstances, it may not be appropriate to show them as being solely booklet stamps (marked with an * in the table above) but it could well be a valid subject for discussion! I have, however, marked the 17p with 1991 imprint as being solely issued in booklets.
