*** General information on this page is in normal typeface.List of Scans:
*** For those who find it useful, one or two suggestions on how to navigate through the railway section on this website are given in italics.Selected Railway Stamps from our retail stock have been scanned to this location.
This page is in a new browser window, allowing you to switch easily between the listing(s) and the scans. Note: If you return to the sales lists and click on ' scan ' again, it will open this page in a new window each time, even if this page is already open.If the scan resolution is not high enough for you, please request a better one by email. Where stamps have been scanned using stockcards, some horizontal lines may appear across them.
The scans are listed alphabetically. To view a chosen stamp, simply click below on the appropriate scan link.
Clicking on an individual scan will NOT open a new window. If you wish to operate ' simply ', we recommend that you use the ' back button ' to return, from each scan which you view, back to this scan index page, effectively having one window open for the sales lists and one window open at the scan index page. However, if you wish to keep several images immediately available, you can click on ' scan ' in the sales lists several times in order to create several windows for scans.
Some scans may appear to show stamps or sheets with missing perforations or margins. This is simply a scanner problem. Unless described as having faults, all stamps and sheets are in good condition. The scans are mostly provided to assist with identification, not condition.
You can either select individual scans from the list below, or you could try our:
Slide Show of Scans:
You will probably need to have Broadband to make this work. We have provided a slide show of all
the scanned images, shown at about 8-second intervals. Please note, however, that with larger scans,
much of the 8 seconds may be taken up with loading the image. A further problem is that the size
of each image varies and you will probably need to scroll the bar on the right-hand side of your
browser window from time to time. It is not perfect - but it should be a reasonably efficient way to
view all the scans - for those with the ability to use this system.
