Please note that, as this material does not form part of the Paper Heritage stock, it will not be listed on our normal railway web pages, and is only listed here, in the Private Treaty section of this website.
Glossary: u/m = unmounted mint, never hinged mint. m/m = mounted mint, hinged mint. Mint = no gum, as issued. No Gum = stamp without gum but which should have gum.
Foxing = brown age spots Toned = discoloured, yellowed. A full listing of abbreviations may be found via the link 'Key to Abbreviations' in the left sidebar.
Ordering: Please always provide enough detail for us to identify the item clearly, including, most importantly, any Scan Reference and Price. All prices are in Pounds Sterling.
Payment & Postage: Please note that postage, and insurance where requested, is extra and that payment for Private Treaty items will need to be made to me personally
and not to Paper Heritage. Private Treaty purchase payment must be made net of all banking charges. For example, PayPal payments will be subject to
a 4.8% surcharge.
We do not accept credit or debit cards but can provide bank account details for transfers and can accept UK cheques, and cash by registered post in
Euros or in Pounds Sterling. Please note that items are at buyer's risk, once we have put them in the post. Please be sure to give us a clear instruction with regard to
insuring your purchases, customs requirements in your country etc. If there are any postal difficulties, we shall, of course, assist with any claims against the postal authorities.

Some items have also been consigned to the Railway Philatelic Group (RPG) auction, which closes at Midday on Tuesday January 31st 2012. The majority of the lots, which I consigned on behalf of the Private Treaty seller, are British, but there are also a few high quality items from other countries. The entire auction may be viewed by following the auction link on the RPG website's home page, when it has been uploaded, which should be in the first week of January 2012. The auction is restricted to RPG members but, exceptionally as I am acting as agent for the sales of a former RPG member, if you are known to me and would like me to place bids with the auctioneer on your behalf, please download and complete the Bidding Form : RPG Bidding Form (opens in new tab) and send it to me by post or email, and I shall forward it to the auctioneer for you. Please be sure to do this no later than January 26th. Alternatively, why not join the RPG?
